UK Riders Qualifiers leading to the UK Riders Championships.
The UK Riders Championships 2019 is a perfect opportunity for unaffiliated combinations of horse and
rider to take part in a UK National Championship, professionally run, within an encouraging, fun and supportive environment.
The Challenge has a 3-tier structure. Firstly, local qualifiers are held around the country from the 1st September 2018 up to 30th July 2019. On attaining the relevant qualifying criteria and becoming a Member of UK Riders, competitors will be able to take part in the second round Regional Qualifiers.
Regional Qualifiers are held during June, July and August at selected centres around the UK. Successful combinations at the Regional Qualifiers can then take part in the UK Riders National Championships!
Three disciplines are on offer this year, Dressage, Showjumping and Showing.
The Dressage Challenge offers tests from Intro to Elementary and the Showjumping Challenge
offers heights start at 40cm up to and including 1m. Showing consists of both In Hand & Ridden classes with a wide-ranging selection of classes.
The Challenge is split into two sections, Pony, (14.2hh & under) and Horse, (above 14.2hh).
UK RIDERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
To compete in the Championships, you need to qualify and must become a member of UK Riders. Qualification is a three-phase process.
Phase 1: Take part in a local qualifier between 1st September of the preceding year and mid-July of the Championship Year. Click on the drop down list of Qualifying Centres on the menu above to find a qualifying centre near you.
Phase 2: On attaining the relevant qualifying criteria (see Dressage Rules and Showjumping Rules), you need to become a member of UK Riders. You are then eligible take part in in the second round Regional Qualifiers. These are held between June and August at selected centres around the UK. There are no Regional Qualifiers for Showing classes, competitors only require a first round qualifier.
Phase 3: Successful combinations at the Regional Qualifiers can then take part in the UK Riders National Championships! To enter, you need to find the UK Riders Championships on the Equo Events website.
